Adreene Forsythe

Singing has always been a cherished pastime for Adreene and a source of joy and self expression since she was a teenager. She discovered her love for music and singing from her years at Secondary school and has participated in numerous school concerts and by extension, as a background vocalist for some of Grenada’s top artistes.

During her years of gigging, which started with Brian Hurst; jazz, with its soulful rhythms and improvisational spirit, holds a special place in her heart. Whether she’s humming one of her favourite tunes from Ella Fitzgerald or belting out lyrics, the act of singing brings her immense satisfaction.

It’s an escape, a space where she finds solace and fulfillment, and it’s a pleasure to share this passion with those around her. This will be Adreene’s second year as a vocalist in Carols by Candlelights.

A#keem

Three time performer at the Pure Grenada Music Festival and steadily achieving his dreams of sharing stages with some of the world’s greatest performers, is this soulful Grenadian artiste, A#keem. Born Akeem David Abraham and fascinated with the art that is music he flexes his vocals and writing skills on groovy instrumentals as an urban – reggae artiste. With arms wide open he’s been embracing the spreading of love in violence ridden societies since deciding on music in 2015. From then till now he’s perfor med original songs, released new music, albums, performed at shows and even put on his own. From childhood days to being an adult to collaborating with caribbean – loved artistes? Here, let’s talk about A#keem

His educational journey began in J.W Fletcher
Memorial Primary School but wrapped up in Trinidad and
Tobago where he pursued an Electrical and Electronic Engineering diploma at the University of Trinidad and
Tobago. It was really after that chapter of his life that his future in music began as he grew
tired of the
constant factor around him: violence. With determination to inject as much positivity as he could into what he
believes to be one of the most powerful influences, music, he started treading on this, his current path.

represents the evolution of Akeem as a person and as well to solidify the name as a brand.”
His sound, which can be described as a fusion of reggae and pop, can be heard in his musi

Baby Pree

Khaden Cambridge aka “Babypree”, the incredibly talented 6-year-old musical prodigy, has been captivating hearts and ears since his early years. Born to the renowned artist Tallpree, Khaden seems to have inherited his father’s musical genes and a passion for music that is beyond his years. From a tender age, Khaden displayed an innate musicality, astonishing everyone with his rhythm and melody.

With an impressive knack for melody and a heartwarming stage presence, Khaden’s early success in his music career is nothing short of extraordinary. At just six years old, he has already become a local sensation, performing at various community events.

His youthful enthusiasm, combined with his remarkable talent, has garnered a growing fan base, eagerly awaiting his next performance or release. As Khaden
continues to mature in his musical journey, there’s no doubt that he is destined for greatness in the music industry, following in the footsteps of his talented father, Tallpree.

Conception dance theatre

The Conception Dance Theatre is a dance school and performance group specializing in Acro, Ballet, Modern, and Grenadian/Caribbean Folk. In October 2007, Artistic Director Cecilia Griffith opened Conception Dance Theatre and has worked conscientiously not only to develop herself, but also her students by creating opportunities for them to grow technically, artistically and in their personal development through performances, workshops, the inclusion of international tutors and providing teaching opportunities to its members.

Conception Dance Theatre, now celebrating its 10th year has grown to over 270 students, operating with a dance manager and a number of skilled, trained dance teachers who all share a passion for the arts. Conception provides an environment that fosters positive attitudes; discipline, respect, diligence, and self motivation in its membership. Conception’s recent achievements include, the Shashamane Rhythm and Motion Festival in Trinidad 2016, as well as performances for the National Independence Celebrations 2015,2016 &2017, The Grenada Invitational 2017, Pure Grenada Music Festival in 2016 & 2017, the 2017 Carriacou Maroon Festival and Carifesta xiii in Barbados

Elon Cambridge

Elon ‘NolE’ Cambridge, a passionate musician, and photographer from the island of Grenada, began his professional music journey a year ago. With captivating and high-energy performances, he was contracted as the lead vocalist for Harmony Blues and later elevating to the lead vocalist of the nationally renowned, Octane the Band.

NolE’s love for music and the arts was discovered and nurtured through his involvement in the St. George’s Anglican Junior School choir, church choirs, and the Grenada Boys Secondary School choir. In 2012–2013, he participated in Climate Change Disaster Management competitions and collaborated with Grenadapt to create two songs, “Be Prepared” and “Can’t Do This Alone,” which were used to represent Grenada in a regional competition and used to spread awareness on our local news stations.

Having laid this foundation, the young talent was recognized and secured performances in multiple national concerts alongside Bunji Garlin & Fayon Lyons, Aidonia, Farmer Nappy, GBM Nutron, Vikin, and Ding Dong.

Emily rapier

Emily Rapier is a remarkable talent in the world of music and entertainment, known for her electrifying presence on stage and her versatile skills in singing, dancing, and acting. With a captivating blend of Neo-soul, Funk & Jazz, she leaves a lasting impression wherever she performs.

Emily’s journey into the world of performance began with her love for dance at a tender age. She explored the intricacies of movement. As she perfected her dance skills, she discovered a newfound love for the harmonious world of music. Her passion for soulful melodies and infectious grooves quickly became apparent and soon she had the privilege of sharing the stage with both regional and international artists. Her velvety, soul-stirring vocals have the power to move anyone who has the pleasure of listening.

Emily’s warm and energetic stage presence, combined with her soulful voice, captivates audiences, leaving them wanting more.

Jay MC donald

Jay was a past member of Spice Island Youthquake and the SGU Chorale and a current member of Crescendo Choir. He is also a member of the RKD Theatre company where he played roles in “The Nutmeg Princess”, “Ay Yai Yai Ivan,” and ” Kidnap Love.” He has gone to represent Grenada at Carifesta on two occasions to St. Kitts and Trinidad and toured with SIY to the USA, UK, Ireland and Trinidad and just last year he appeared in a Heritage Theatre Production of ” Julien Fedon”.

In 2010 while living in Tobago he competed in the Bi- annual Trinidad and Tobago Music Festival where he won the Operatic Aria and Mixed Duet classes held in Trinidad. And was voted Most Outstanding Tenor of 2010.
His vocal range goes from Tenor to Baritone giving him the ability to take on pieces from opera, negro spirituals, R&B to even Reggae.
He has performed at Carols by Candlelight in 2015, 2021 and 2022. And has sang at the reception held for FIFA when the trophy passed through Grenada and at many Government functions.
He has been singing for events such as weddings, funerals and mostly private functions.

Jeverson Ramirez

Born and reared in Grenada, Soul/Funk/Pop newcomer, Jeverson has been compared to artists ranging from James Brown to Bruno Mars, Anderson Paak to Leon Bridges and Chris Stapleton. Although firmly rooted in Soul/Funk and Pop, Jeverson’s music includes a unique blend of sonic spices… a touch of his Island roots with a pinch of Soca and a dash of Reggae. In the spring of 2020, a chance encounter in Grenada with New York City-based musician/producer, Nick Lotto, resulted in a magical collaboration leading to the releases of “Pray for Your Son,” “Move” and “Let Me Know”.

A writing trip to Nashville in May 2021 offered an opportunity for Jeverson to write with Grammy award-winning writers/producers Mike Shimshack, Johnny Black, Bobby Huff and more, and the resulting work has further unlocked musical magic. His influences include artists such as Machel Montano, Patrice Roberts, Bob Marley, and Chronixx as well as mainstream pop artists like The Clark Sisters, Beyonce, Daniel Caesar and Jacob Collier and legends Otis Redding and Frank Sinatra. Known simply as Jeverson, he is based in Nashville where he has been writing and recording in preparation for his current singles “Move” and “Stupid Mad Love” in advance of his EP release in early 2022.

Kahmala stephen

Hi there, My name is Kahmala Stephen and I have been singing since the age of 5. My first performance was at my local churches talent show, and this is where my love and passion for singing and music stems from.
Since that time I have moved on to singing heavily in the church and have focused on gospel music and infusing the genre with a modern but soulful vybe.

Through out my musical journey, I have written and arranged a national independence song while in high-school, did a summer intensive vocal training session with Alison Novel Ford in Barbados, performed in 2 separate off Broadway musicals in New York, where I received special recognition and awarded for vocals for one of the musical plays “the return are u ready.” I have competed locally in GBNs gospel challenge and Barbados got talent. I am constantly working with local artists and always ready to share my gift.

To date I am working on my first gospel album and can’t wait to share it with the world.

As an original cast member of Carol’s by Candlelight, I am excited to be back on for another season and celebrate this magical time with you all!

Khole Baldeo

Not your average Island Girl… One of Grenada’s leading female artists, Khole Bladeo, is making her mark and not letting up any time soon. Her unique fusion of pop, dancehall and soul has anyone who encounters her perform instantly captivated.

Born in Grenada to West Indian parents, music has been at the heart of Khole’s life since childhood. Passionate, mysterious, fierce and real to the core, her music teases the emotional experience of life, love and worldly encounters that we all live through and can relate to.

On the rise achieving her childhood dreams of being an international star, her mission is to continue to empower herself and inspire generations to come as she evolves and grows on this unique journey from a small island to international success.

Khloe’s musical influences span across a wide array of artiste and sounds from Lauryn Hill to Celine Dion, an eclectic mix which is definitely reflected in her sound. Being a 90s baby she was a huge fan of 990s pop music and loved all the classic girl groups like Spice Girls, TLC, Destiny’s Child and so many more.

Being from the Caribbean, Khloe draws a lot of inspiration and influence from nature, her culture and community all of which are extremely important to her.

Laura lisa

Born and raised in Grenada, West Indies, LAURA LISA is a calypso singer-songwriter whose songs send powerful messages of hope, strength and self-confidence. Laura Lisa has had both live performing and recording experience. The singer performed at multiple national concerts like opening for Buju Banton and competing in numerous Calypso, Groovy and Soca (Power) Monarch competitions in Grenada. Laura Lisa has also made her way through the local reggae circuit, being the lead singer of the local reggae band, D-Unit. With them, she has opened multiple “Best of the Best” reggae shows held each year locally. Laura Lisa has released records “Hero”, which was included on Xpert Productions’ recent album “Strange Powers”, and others such as “Better Days”, “Judge Me”, “Ramajay” and “Awaken”, with more songs in the works. Laura Lisa, in her own right, is considered a musical gem and a symbol of feminine power in Grenada, and her music and message will do wonders to the world of music and her island.

Marcia miranda

Marcia Miranda is endeared a Trinidad & Tobago’s undisputed Queen of Parang Soca. She is also an experienced and versatile performer in all genres of music. She has performed in Germany, Europe, Holland, Central America, South America, USA, Canada, Costa Rica, Guyana and the Caribbean. She has several hits which are very popular at Christmas time. Very notable are Bring Out De Ham, Gimme Love, Roast Fowl, Letter to Mamma, Cocoa Panyol Christmas, Thiefing Parang Band and many more. 

She is well know for her very energetic and engaging personality on stage. Marcia Miranda was crowned The Parang Soca Monarch of Trinidad and Tobago and The National Airlines Calypso Monarch. She has been awarded many accolades, among them a national award from the Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly, Copyright Organisation of T’dad and T’go’s Parang song of the year, the Honourary Parange Soca Artiste 2019 and New York Sunshine Female Artist of the year on tow occasions. Marica continues to bring her best to the stage with a solid fan base both locally and internationally.

sabrina francis

Sabrina Francis’ unique musical journey began in 1994 on the small Caribbean island of Grenada. Born to a large family of artistically driven individuals, but in a country where opportunities and access for creatives are very limited, Sabrina found writing and singing to be a second language and ultimately a stepping stone to the artiste she is today.

Making Afro-Caribbean Pop & R&B professionally since 2014, her songs chronicle and share her coping mechanisms for life while reinforcing her belief that the secret to happiness lies in remaining true to yourself and being grateful for everything in your life. This attitude propels Sabrina in pursuit of her goal of having a global impact through her music.

Taking advantage of every possible opportunity, Sabrina’s emotive blend of music is often described as spiritual, uplifting, joyful and effortlessly appealing. The overarching theme throughout her songs speaks to female independence, mental health and the shared experiences of hard working individuals reaching for success whatever the situation they may be in.

Although quiet and controlled in demeanor, Sabrina is very adventurous and playful with her music. Pulling from the array of musical influences she’s had growing up, the singer isn’t shy about experimenting and incorporating different styles in her musical creations, which has led to an individual sound that is sure to forge its own distinctive path in the musical arena.

She’s released three bodies of work so far, ‘Think In Colour’, ‘I Feel’ her second album and her EP ‘Million Moments’. In 2019, her song ‘I Feel’ earned a finalist prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition. In 2020, she launched ‘Sabrina’s Treehouse Concerts’ series which has flourished since the first show in 2020 and in 2021 she toured Europe and the UK. In 2022, she added four new single releases to her discography, including “Call Me”, produced by Nigerian producer extraordinaire ‘Mystro’, played at the prestigious Bush Hall Venue in London and closed the year alongside the grammy award winning Pentatonix and other creatives across the globe on a Disney+ special called ‘Pentatonix: Around the World for the Holidays’.

Her pace in 2023 is equally intense. While maintaining monthly performances at her wildly successful Tree House Concerts, Sabrina has in the first half of the year also added another two releases to her discography – “I Feel Amazing” and “Woman”, a UK tour, the return of her Wide Open Concert and made her debut at the Royal Albert Hall as an opening act for Asa – the ‘soul-full’ Nigerian-French singer, songwriter and recording artist. Sabrina continues to blaze a trail in the constant pursuit of her dreams through hard work and constant innovation to overcome hurdles and connect with her audience with no intention of slowing down anytime soon.

Sakinah ambrose

Sakinah Ambrose: born to well-known local Grenadian Hip Hop artiste Psycho Bob, famous for his hit song entitled ‘Ride on”. Although she grew up singing at home even before she could say words, she graced the stage as a competitor in the 2012 McDonald’s College School competition, singing the legendary Bob Marley’s ‘Redemption Song,’ which resulted in her triumph.

Along her journey, she progressed to competition at the BET Talent Search and successfully elevated to the next round. With that acquired taste of the big stage, although nervous at every performance, she was the youngest performer at the annual Divas in Concert /show at the Spice Basket, where she was one of the impressive talents on the cast. Gradually, she became a household name and was requested and booked for other private events such as the Grenada Music Awards, business places and companies’ social events, and a frequent at the fun karaoke events.

In 2018, she began singing with Octane the Band as a background vocalist until she eventually became the Lead Vocalist. Most of her performances initially were at restaurants, hotels, and domestic settings/ events. Later in April 2022, she graced the stage for a show titled “Out & Bad” with a cast of international artistes like Masika & 10tikk at the National Stadium, a significant milestone in her career. Her energetic, versatile, and enjoyable vibe captivated many promoters after that; she became a humbled household name with the band, where she remained a member for 5 years.

In July of 2023, Sakinah progressed successfully to form her very own band – “The Alpha 1 Band”: with their inaugural performance at Pree Day and several other events throughout and after the carnival season. For the show “Legend”, the first Killa Day show in Grenada, Sakinah was an integral cast member with her debut performance with the Grenadian International top entertainer, Holice Mapp – Mr. Killa. Sakinah continues to grow in her musical career and journey and is currently producing original music. Her dream is to have her band represent Grenada regionally and internationally as she makes her contribution to Grenada’s Creative Economy. Her inspiration stems from watching live shows of some of the biggest entertainers in the music industry worldwide, and the love and appreciation from the fans that the artistes/performers receive captivates her soul every time. Her mantra guides her:” I believe in making the magic; go out there and do it –We Must Win!”

Shisonna Mc Meo

Shishonna Mc Meo, better known as Shonna Mc Meo, is a young Grenadian singer and songwriter. Born into a musical family, Shonna has continued to fine tune her craft as a singer and songwriter. Shonna is a past member of Touch of Grace gospel choir and a current vocalist with solid the band. Shonna also plays the keyboard and is a member of Commancheros Steel Orchestra where she plays the double tenor pan. Shonna has headlined at the Bequia Music Festival, Carriacou maroon festival, Union island Easterval and with the Melisizwe Brothers.

Sonika Keturah Jermina Mckie (born 21 October 1988), known simply as Sonika, is a Grenadian  singer-songwriter and recording artist, based in the Eastern Caribbean  island of Grenada

Born in St George, Grenada, her professional career began when she was approached by the Manager of Metronome Records, Nima Anvar, who had seen her performance on 29 May 2010 at the Grenada Best Talent Competition Final (an initiative of Wayne “Waggy T” Redhead and other local sponsors). Shortly after this, Anvar offered Sonika an opportunity to be managed by him and to develop her career. In 2011, Sonika accepted the offer.

Under Anvar’s management, Sonika was introduced to an organized method for approaching her development as a serious artist. In the process, Anvar pulled in a team of persons to develop Sonika into an international artist.

To date, Sonika has released five singles between April 2012 and September 2013; she has sung to audiences both locally and internationally;  released a music video for her first single, “Gone Away “, which went to No. 1 on Tempo Networks; is the first Grenadian artist to have a VEVO channel). Please don’t let it go which became one of her most popular songs which was released in 2012 during Olympic London games. Have grabbed the hearts of many as it speaks boldly of holding one to ones dreams. Sonika is now the founder of Sonys Vocal Academy an arts development initiative that begun on March 5th, 2021, on the beautiful island of Grenada.

Sonika is on a mission to inspire and nurture passionate individuals to strive for excellence, dream big and get the best educational experience in the field of singing. This initiative will transform possibilities and provide hope for many people who will learn the right vocal technique by having access to well informed expert coaching.

tara eastman

Mrs. Tara Eastman-Charles hails from the beautiful village of St Pauls, St George, Grenada. Her passion for singing began humbly at The Joseph’s Convent after auditioning for the school choir. From there, her talent and love for the art grew from strength to strength. Her voice emotes her love for the classical genre and can be described as nothing short of angelic. Over the years, she has rendered her amazing talent to the island, taking part in Arts Festival, competitions and is a local favorite and first choice for any melodious event, thus making her a stalwart for any activity pertaining to the musical industry. She is still actively apart of her local church choir and also the legendary choirs Crescendo and Touch of Grace.

Her success in the industry are owed to Ms. Lauren Ramdhany and Ms. Mary Fletcher who has nurtured her exceptional talent from its inception and discovery. In her personal life, she has worked in the banking industry for over 18 years and has since transitioned into the hospitality industry. She currently holds the position the Assistant Front Office Manager at the Silver Sands Resort Grenada. She is a devoted wife, mother and daughter. Mrs. Eastman- Charles has been and continues to be a star in every aspect of her life. She is indeed a daughter of the soil and supports all things culture and in essence all things Grenadian.

Thamara st bernard

Known as the ‘Songbird’ of Grenada. Thamara has been singing the age of 5 and is known for her signature voice blended with Soul, Smooth and R&B. Thamara has been singing at bars, restaurants, concerts and Music Festivals, travelling to Kazakhstan and Moscow to represent her country. With her latest EP ‘The Conversation’ debuting and shaking the airwaves, she is always excited to share her relatable experiences of life struggles and love lessons with the world. 

Thamara has topped the Reggae charts in her country with her hit song ‘Gots To Burn’ produced by Costa Rebel from Costa Rica and captured the hearts of many with another hit song ‘Jah Battle’ which speaks on depression. She has opened for artists such as Chronix, Morgan Heritage, Ashanti, Christopher Martin, Jah Rule, Sizzla and this is just a small mentioned of the many times she has opened for some big names. 

Many people who hear the Songbird describe her as passionate and exceptional writer and a vocal range that is to die for. She was also spoken highly of, by David Rodigan of BBC Radio and Many local media houses went crazy as their Songbird continued to make strides. 

The Songbird knows that her purpose on this earth is to bless, uplift  inspire and rekindle hope to every listener and so she stands by these words that depict exactly how important music is to her ” Singing is like breathing and music is air”. When asked how she would describe herself, she says chosen and blessed! 

ZELEKa Peters

Zeleka has been involved in the performing arts since the tender age of 3. Born into a creative family, she developed a passion for the performing arts very early in her life. She is a singer, songwriter and actress and the chief executive officer at the la Boucan creative centre. She is also Grenada’s youth ambassador to the United Nations youth advisory group and uses her talents and passions to focus on the orange economy.
